    Nice! 👍

    Presumably no state issues photo ID with only a two-digit year for the birth date field, right?

              Here they just have to hit a button if you are under 40. You know you are old when they don’t give it a second thought. 😄

                  Here they card EVERYBODY. I’m surprised they just haven’t started scanning the barcodes on licenses.

                    @LuFins-Dad speaking of barcodes

                    im old enough to remember a time before UPC barcodes and when they were made mandatory on all items, so that mad magazine actually had a cover complaining about it

                      Folks, I'm old enough to remember the checkout people at a supermarket entering each price on a cash register.

                        How about writing all the prices on a brown paper bag with a pencil? Then adding them up by hand.

                            The clerk would write the prices on the bag at the checkout.

                            I remember them doing that on a paper bag at a small grocery we used in Maine while on vacation. The bag was your receipt.

                            They also did that on the bag at a local deli.
