This DOJ announcement has 13 charged in Federal Court and 40 charged in Superior Court (I think DC level).
What is the difference and why?
I think it depends on who/where they picked them up? Thats my guess. Federal property vs streets of DC. Notice a lot of the 40 include curfew violators.

We are doomed
We have been for awhile.
Typical fall of empire.

If you don't go back and prosecute all the Leftists and Antifa who have burned, pillaged and yep, probably even raped, they're sending a message all right.
The wrong message...
I also mostly agree, at least in principle. But it must be remembered that timing is everything. Lawyers -- especially defense lawyers -- are adept at tactics to stretch the passage of time between offense and trial. The longer the time, the lesser the outrage. I'd rather nail this bunch NOW and let past offenders go.

Then send the message to over 70,000,000 voters about who and what is important.

Is that for real?

It’s a joke or disinformation or a trap but who knows it could give Trump some ideas.
Yes, it might give him ideas.
But, would he be willing to risk disfavor with the next administration?
