      I made some Intant Pot pork chops with gravy.

      Mashed potatoes, broccoli and rutabaga (Mrs. George loves rutabaga).

      Talk about comfort food...

        Funny timing! My wife made pork chops yesterday (first time I've had them in many years...was never a fan). She went with a bacon/parmesan crust route. It was pretty good. She said next time she might try searing the chops then letting them soak in a tomato soup before cooking. I told her that sounds like the worst meal on the planet, but...I'll try any food once!

          @89th here's what I made:

          It's also in the "Cookbook" thread, with my photos.

              @89th by the way, I didn't have any cream of chicken soup, so I used cream of mushroom.

                  89th, if you love beef but would like a less expensive option, learn all you can about pork. Fantastic stuff.

                    The problem with pork is that people tend to cook the hell out of it, for fear of getting some parasite. When we were first dating Mrs. George would make pork chops, and gawd, they were tough.

                    That's so 19th century.

                    The ones I made last, though well done (Instant Pot, you know), were still really tender and moist.

                        Well, that's interesting...

                        Presumably it was a long time ago?

                          Never heard of that problem.

                          I cook pork tenderloin similar to a good steak. Must be pink in the middle.
