The truth WILL come out, and if I'm still in this country when it does I'm going to thoroughly enjoy shoving your nose in the shit you shovel.
Just like there was 100% chance Trump would win (when I told you he wouldn’t) and you’d rub my nose in it when Trump won. Ok got it.
My nose is awfully clean.
Trump DID win. I only recognize legitimate votes. You are willing to accept dead people voting, fake ballots, and all the other illegal votes it took to steal the election. It's not my fault you and your party have no integrity.
@larry said in Pence refused to sign on to Jan 6 plan to steal election:
Trump DID win.
Apparently not, since ultimately President Putin sent his congratulations to Mr. Biden. That means Mr. Biden won.
Face it Larry, Trump lost. Went down in defeat. Shown the door. Pooped the bed.
Rather bigly too, I might add.

Sorry, but youre simply repeating the media spin. Trump won the legal vote. The illegal votes are what gave Biden his slim win. That's the whole point. Legal votes vs illegal votes.

"Mr. Hawley’s challenge is not unprecedented... Democrats in both the House and Senate challenged certification of the 2004 election results...""... and House Democrats tried on their own to challenge the 2016 and 2000 outcomes, though without Senate support. ... Senator Barbara Boxer of California... briefly delayed the certification of George W. Bush’s victory... cit[ing] claims that Ohio election officials had improperly purged voter rolls... which Mr. Bush carried by fewer than 120,000 votes. Nancy Pelosi, then the House Democratic leader, supported the challenge.... The House voted 267 to 31 against the challenge and the Senate rejected it 74 to 1... After the 2016 election, several House Democrats tried again, rising during the joint session to register challenges against Mr. Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in various states. The Democrats cited reasons ranging from long lines at polling sites to the Kremlin’s election influence operation."
So... in the last three decades, every time a Republican won, Congressional Democrats challenged the certification of the election, and every time a Democrat won, Congressional Republicans did not challenge the certification.
That certainly puts a different light on what Josh Hawley is doing!
Either challenging the certification is the norm or it is not. It can't be the norm for Democrats and abnormal when a Republican does the same thing. Either Congress has a role in looking into the workings of the state elections or it does not. It can't be that the role is to question Republican victories and rubber-stamp Democratic victories.
I can see — in the NYT write up — the basis for arguing that there actually should be a lopsided role. To fill out something I elided above: "In challenging those results Democrats cited claims that Ohio election officials had improperly purged voter rolls and otherwise disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of voters in the state...."
The argument that's hinted at is that there should be heightened scrutiny where the challenge has to do with discrimination against a traditionally discriminated against group.

Here's VP Biden shutting it down, saying IT'S OVER, and getting a standing ovation from the GOP. That’s the precedent for Pence to follow.

The illegal votes like the ones Trump voters have admitted to? So the Biden landslide was even bigger than we think?

@larry “close minded”. Spoken like a true conspiracy theorist.
I think you’re the only true believer here, Larry.
Heres a conspiracy theory for you. Youll like it because youll get to shove your head up your ass a little further...
That Stacy Abrams I mentioned? You know, the one you refused to look into because your precious opinion might get challenged? The Stacy Abrams that you said the things I told you about her were just conspiracy theories? It was just reported on the news... on TV.. that her sister, a federal judge, is blocking the removal of votes cast by dead people.
But don't bother looking it up. Your little world will collapse. Just shove your head back up your ass where it's comfortable, and reminded d yourself how much better informed you are.
@larry said in Pence refused to sign on to Jan 6 plan to steal election:
But don't bother looking it up. ...
Maybe you can tell us why anyone should still bother looking up anything you post about? People here, including myself, have put time and effort into looking at the details of some of the election fraud stuff you post about. But when it's pointed out to you that the evidence behind it is practically worthless, you go silent on it.
And the two things I looked at had remarkable weaknesses that were so obvious, that I wonder if you ever really look into the cases you post. It seems like if something fits your election fraud narrative, it's automatically something you consider a fact. -

Good on you for taking him in good faith, Nunatax, but at some point you just have to accept him as TNCR's Crazy Uncle Larry and move on.

That's ok. The day is going to come that you will have no choice but to admit you should have paid attention. By the time you figure it out though, it will be too late.

That’s fine, and also not surprising. You seem to have stopped caring about “thinking” the second Biden overtook Trump in electoral votes.

I guess you’re right. Lately I’ve been wondering if Cosmored hijacked Larry’s account. Cosmored didn’t swear as much, though

Isn't that cute... all the little "Russia Russia Russia" conspiracy theorists who made fun of me when I told them they'd fallen for a hoax are calling me a conspiracy theorist! Given how wrong you've been on so many things for so many years yet remained totally convinced of your intellectual superiority, I feel honored.

Very cute indeed, as I never said anything about that Russia stuff.

When Larry says "you" and then goes on to rant about "liberals", he usually refers to some unspecified fantasy straw-man he made up, so don't worry; it's not about you.

Classic projection, often used by psychopaths.

Larry is who he is, unapologetically. He has been absolutely consistent through the 15+ years I have known him. He's not in any way shape or form a nutcase.
It is not good to think that anyone who comes to different conclusions than you do is crazy. They may be right or they may prove wrong but that remains to be seen.
As has been pointed out, no president in our lifetimes has ever faced the tsunami of lies, machinations and misrepresentations as Trump has over the last four years. It is hardly crazy to believe the democrats who have been behind these efforts would cheat if they could.

I agree with this. This place wouldn’t be the same without @Larry , he’s not a nutcase, and is someone I’d always like to grab a beer with. He is, however, so incredibly detached from reality (the way Trump is) about this election that he’s lost a ton of credibility in my book, not that he cares.
