She has a good reason not to take it. I wish an easy journey for her and the baby.
Wouldn't they take her out of such a higher risk area?
Just hear that the first vaccine was delivered today in Winston Salem.

Congratulations, Copper. Wow, what a conundrum for her, though.

Congrats, grandpa.
If I was her, I wouldn't take it.

Congrats.
Pregnant and hx of allergies are definitely contraindications.
But she should encourage others so she can benefit from the herd.

My daughter will be one of the first in line for the vaccine.
It will arrive at the hospital where she works today.
Last week she told me she probably wouldn't take it because now that she is in administration she spends less than half her time on the floor and she thinks the others should get it first. She works in the emergency department.
And she has life threatening allergies to many types of food.
Yesterday I finally got the rest of the story.
She is expecting my second grandchild in June.
WooHoo!
There is very little data so far on the vaccine's effect on pregnant women. So, for now, in her opinion, the vaccine is not an option.
Now I have something to think about for the next 6 months.

I talked to a nurse friend who just had a baby. She is getting the vaccine Friday. I asked her if she would have done it if still pregnant and she said yes. I asked why and she said Covid bad experience would likely be a lot worse.
She does not have life threatening allergies.
