Good news for now
-
The national case numbers seem to have crested. The regional view looks like it's trending well, NE still rising but at a slower rate.
Just need to hope that Thanksgiving doesn't reignite things.
-
Also we need to hope that this data isn't affected by the holiday weekend, less reporting etc.
But at least the break in the midwest seems to predate the long weekend.
-
Give it a few days. Luke’s Doctor was slammed yesterday.

My son worked black Friday at Kohl's. I couldn't believe how many people were shopping. I understand the need for family get-togethers, but bargain hunting? I wish he didn't have to work, TBH. I don't see how we can't get an uptick from this.
-
Seems about right.
-
Heard in the UK - "What do you mean, we're not supporting hospital staff? I stood and applauded them for a good 15 minutes three days ago!"
-
2658 deaths reported today, an all time high.
Still too early to tease out how much of that is record deaths occurring vs a catch-up on reporting.
-
Not good.

Six days later:
Looks like the midwest really was declining before thanksgiving, but has started rising again. The other regions probably hadn't turned a corner at all, and the small dip was just an artifact of the holiday reporting break.

On the plus side, we've got Christmas to look forward to.

Whenever optimistic people talk about the glass being half full, I've noticed they never say what it's half full of, exactly.
