Joe Biden didn't accomplish a single thing in the 47 years he's been a politician. And of the things he WAS involved in, he made the exact wrong choice every single time. You can expect that trend to continue, only the damage he will do now will be far greater.

But hey - those of you who wanted him..... You have to live with what's coming.

Politically, you're right. With the House being so tight, and with a Senate presumably held by the GOP, he's going to have a rough go of it.

Socially, I disagree. The press and our betters in the entertainment industry are slobbering all over this, and it'll last for a while. John Legend was singing "Georgia On My Mind" last night. We can expect another 2-4 months of this fellating.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Oh, I think the dick sucking will go on a lot longer than 4 months...

          What is “traditional” conservatism?

          What is “current” conservative?

          Ask Renauda.

          Okay @Renauda

I don't really care to go down that rabbit hole of broad opinion. Besides, there is no single definitive or correct answer.

Suffice to say that my understanding of conservatism will differ substantially from what others here regard as as conservatism. In Canada, Kamala Harris could easily be a member of the Conservative Party of Canada and thought of as a Red Tory. Likewise, she could just as easily be thought of as a conservative member of the federal Liberal Party caucus. Very unlikely however that she would occupy any role in the more left of centre, ND Party. I realise that such a statement on my part should elicit more than just a few sardonic laughs and outraged guffaws of feigning indignation from certain quarters of this Forum. So be it. That is precisely why I approach any definition or description of conservatism with reluctance.

However for the sake of simplicity and a desire to oblige at least a portion of your question, I would defer to the respected late American conservative political theorist, Russell Kirk ( Bio: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Kirk ) and his
Ten Conservative Principles as a good place as any to start looking for an answer:

https://kirkcenter.org/conservatism/ten-conservative-principles/#:~:text= Ten Conservative Principles 1 First%2C the, principle of prescription. . Conservatives sense... More

@Renauda I had never read those before. A fine description.

True enough, I find the reactionaries here either amusingly disdainful or disdainfully amusing. Depends on my mood.

When voters are finally informed of the Hunter Biden mess, 5% or more of Dem voters said they would not have voted for Biden. That may well have turned the election.

Big Tech and the MSM did a fine job covering that one up...
