Oh, Rainman, I am so sorry for your loss. Yes, I would have liked to know her. She sounds wonderful, and she really did change the world in many ways. She raised a great son, and that's no small thing.

I look forward to getting to know her through your stories in the future. I hope your family shares many of her stories together, so everyone can perhaps hear something they hadn't known before about her. That would be a treasure.

      Rainman has a brother?

Sorry - just hoping to make you crack a smile. Anyway I agree - share a story or two about her. Maybe we should have a ‘share a story about your mom’ thread.

Really sorry to hear that, Rainman! I'd love to hear some of those stories, too, when you are in the mood.

So sorry. I’m sure she would be really pleased to know that her stories had such impact and she will live on in the retelling of them.

Just wanted to thank you all for your kind words.
Funeral was on Saturday, really glad we had nice weather. The cemetery was very proactive with Covid protocols, they limited the number in the chapel to 20, although the capacity was 200. Minister spoke in both Estonian and English. All things considered, it was a very nice service for my mom. She directed the Esto choir for 49 years, amazing how many close friends she made over the years.

Forty nine years! That is amazing! I can´t imagine the loss that community, and your family, is feeling. She sounds wonderful, Rainman. Sorry to hear about your loss of her.

I'm so impressed the minister used both Estonian and English. He knew your mom would appreciate that. Sounds like he loved your mom, too, as well he should, with her directing the choir for nearly half a century.

Even the weather cooperated. I'd say your mom has some very good connections. I think I would have liked her very much, too.
