I was scanningthe radio dial last night whie driving and came across Mountains Stage. Joe Ely's group the Flatlanders were on live. It was great.

Wow..that song is brilliant - so many styles and influences in one place. And her voice is marvelous.

Will have to look her up.

Must be terribly difficult for someone like Gill to experience that.

He's got a good sense of humor about it...Says he sings in the highest key of anyone in his house and everybody else is female. When he got the chuckle from the audience he was anticipating, he followed it up with the line, "Yeah, I know I sing like a woman, and I've got a really nice house because of it."

Listening to "25 Trips" album on Apple Music now. Interesting, unconventional, stuff. She certainly knows how to mix styles within one song. Sometimes it's jarring, LOL.
