Some interesting primaries today

Crockett gets whiny, claims disenfranchisement, files lawsuit to keep polls open until 9pm instead of 7pm, tells supporters we may not know the results for another day....
-
Crenshaw was ousted…
-
Excellent. I dislike Crenshaw as much as I dislike any politician in America. That is partially random since he puts himself out there on the podcast and media circuits and I happened to get to know him. He postures like a straight-talking tough guy, he looks like that, and he has that resume. But it's a fabrication of a pure weasel who thought he could parlay an eye patch into a political career.

Branding.
Curiously, this is what beat Crockett. She must have been even worse than I thought.

@Mik She’s arguably more moderate than he is, insofar as anyone cares about policy anymore. He’s far less shill and preaches a bipartisan fellowship of sorts. Far less partisan in demeanor. I agree with the conventional wisdom that he’s a better candidate for TX than her. But Cornyn will win all the same.

The Atlantic released an article yesterday morning about how Trump's aides said he's going to announce his support for Cornyn and ask (Paxton) to drop out. Until then the thought (and my Kalshi bet!) was that Paxton would win in a run-off since he'd suck up most of the 3rd candidate (Hunt)'s voters.
Paxton is like Trump... scandals, impeached I think, maybe a felony or two, election sore loser and fraud believer... if Paxton were to beat Cornyn in the runoff, there's a higher chance the democrat Talarico could win, so the GOP would have to spend even more to win the seat, vs a cheaper and better odds win if it's Cornyn. Trump doesn't like to align with losers... at least not on purpose.
