I mean the Washington Redskins (sorry Commanders) aren't in Washington. So.... actually come to think of it there are like 5-10 teams that do not play in their city's actual city.

        1. The Washington team’s stadium is 2.5 miles outside of DC. The Jets/Giants stadium is 10 miles outside of NYC limits. The Indiana site is 28 miles away from Chicago. It would be the equivalent of putting the Washington team in Baltimore, and still calling it Washington…

        2. None of those other teams play in a stadium as iconic as Soldier Field. You need to blow the old stadium up for a year or two to rebuild? Go for it. But moving the team at this point is stupid.

Srsly tho, I agree with you. This is dumb. These moves suck the soul out of franchises and their fan bases.

I just hope there's a way to blame Chicago politics for the move.

              Education is extremely important.

Do the Chicago team give a reason for wanting to move, other than wanting more money?

Because I doubt changing to a different stadium will make them a better team.

I mean the Bears had a good season. Great new QB, won their division, and I think were 2 wins away from being in the Super Bowl. We are lucky here in Minny that our teams are named after the state and not the city (cities).
