Actually, Renauda would be the person to weigh on this. I follow oil pricing with an industry analyst on another site. Most US producers are laying off people. The reason gas prices are down is that the Saudis have increased supply quite dramatically AND refineries are shifting to their winter blend of gasoline which is cheaper. The long-term impact of that is that many companies in the US will shut down or go bankrupt. It ain't "drill baby drill" that is affecting prices.

Never mind geostrategic considerations, human rights, or whatever - Trump will base his decision whether to go to war with a country on whether their leader was "nice" to him. Amazing if you think about it.
