Ha it was posted on the “sweaty palms” subreddit. I had the same thought. That being said, he’s getting due credit for a long video without commentary, music, editing, or screaming.

Apparently, this camp was a regular Who’s Who for the politicos in Texas. A current Rep had 2 daughters at the camp, generation after generation of Lyndon Johnson’s family went there, Laura Bush was a counselor when she was in college, and more…

When i first realized where it was i checked how far it was from the LBJ ranch, which the boy and I visited 7-8 years ago. It’s not far.

No, Kerrville is very close. My ex-SIL is from there.

The death toll is currently at least 81. What a horrendous situation.

                  I was only joking

This is so incredibly sad. One can only hope that we do learn some things from this - and that we don't repeat this horror. I can't imagine the pain of the parents. A meteorologist from that area did a post where she said it had nothing to do with staff shortages. She suggested that a weather alert radio could have helped provide warning as there was no cell service, and the worst of things were happening so early in the morning than many might have been asleep. Second thing would have been rising water sensors with a siren. Neither would be expensive.

How about don't build summer camps in flood prone areas.
