How about someone a little closer?
Representative Don Bacon (R-NE) is a Brigadier General, USAF, retired.
"The White House is in denial that this was not classified or sensitive data. They should just own up to it and preserve credibility."

Has anyone asked Pete why he said "no one was texting war plans" when clearly they were? Sorry, clearly HE was the one texting it out to a group chat?

Given all the denial on such a black and white situation - how do you take anything these guys say seriously?

The worst part of it is we know they’re all lying and they know we know they’re all lying. And they still do it.
Teddy Roosevelt said that the capacity to do that was the worst aspect of the Russian character.

That's why I give so much grief here over the Trump lies. If he says 36,000 americans died building the panama canal, but it was 350, how can I trust any number he gives out?

Tortured definitions are nothing new to anybody, and especially not in politics. Tulsi had a statement this morning before a committee on foreign threats (again not convened for this matter, but she addressed the elephant in the room). These are the talking points after a day to mull everything over. Explicit lies? Probably not, just tortured definitions.

"Integrity" used to mean something to the Republicans. "Character" used to matter to the Republicans. Not anymore. So sad.

Miss the good old days of debating what the meaning of "is" is?

If someone is not actually sad, while they claim to be rhetorically sad, but rather they are happy to see their enemy embarrassing themselves, how does that reflect on their integrity?

Well, anybody who wants to get too precious about this, can reflect on that sort of history.

The interesting thing about this scandal is it includes so many high level execs. Twelve clowns, one Volkswagen.

Oh, my giddy aunt...
We just got through with an entire party lying about the mental health of the President, then running a wine-soaked drunk for POTUS, people doing cocaine lines in the Whitehouse, storing Top Secret documents in a garage, and botching a military withdrawal causing 13 military personnel to die (shucks, that's just the lowlights off the top of my head)...and you're worried about a leak that meant little in the larger scheme of things occurring while the current administration is having to kill terrorists the Biden Administration would not?

In the end, like in most all matters of political law breaking, the extra crime of the cover up is what will become their demise. And here is clearly another matter of "how would the other side react?" You can be most assured that if this was a Democrat administration found with their lapse of security dick in their hand, the whole Republican propaganda network would be running this page 1 for the next year, calling for all of their heads. They would build this up into another mountain of poo and convince half this country that Democrats care nothing for the safety of our men in uniform and are in fact traitors to this country. Fox, of course, makes barely a mention of the incident since, leading all of MAGA to not even know what just fucking happened. They are the biggest perpetuators of alternate facts that push reality under the rug and thus create this great divide all for what? Yes, of course, it always comes to this in the end, GREED.

There hasn’t been a cover up so much as a doubling down. Not that they wouldn’t cover it up, they just can’t because Goldberg has the receipts.
Interesting because some of these are actual Federal crimes. I wonder if Secretary Whiskileaks gets a preemptive pardon at some point.

I don't think that's been established.
