I mean, they've been used for like 75 years. Probably even Trump 1.0 used it. And the idea that something Biden signed or acknowledged formally isn't valid, but Trump's "oh, I told myself they were declassified so I'm able to take classified documents for Florida" argument is valid is hypocrisy at the minimum.

Trump didn't originate this story. He's commenting on what he's reading and hearing.
Obama is the originator of heavy autopen use. And for some things that have no national impact (Congrats to the Brownie troop in Ohio that sold the most GS cookies, etc ), who cares?
But a presidential pardon?

I suppose from a legal point, it would be decided case by case. Subject would be examined and medical people would provide their opinions to a judge.
Anyway
Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution, which grants presidents broad clemency powers, says the pardon only needs to be “accepted by its subject” to take effect — and does not mention anything about reversing them after the fact.
“The argument that the pardon fails because it was signed by an autopen fails at the get-go, because there's no requirement that the pardon even be signed,” he explained.

Unfortunately a result of Trump's incessant penchant for misleading facts has resulted in a boy who has cried wolf so many times you can't trust even the most basic claims.
In other words, Trump makes shit up ALL the time, and loves to play the "many people have told me" cowardly way to remain innocent if something he claims turns out to be malarkey.
