@jon-nyc said in Beyond the antivaxx stuff MAHA is either banal or fake:
I’ve met with him several times and was always impressed with his desire to get treatments to patients. Gene therapy fell under him and he was a champion of its possibilities.
Can’t wait to see what dangerous crank he replaces him with.
I suspect there’s a high correlation between antivaxx thinking and anti-GMO thinking among the granola chick/MAHA crank set.
I hope that doesn’t spill over into anti-gene therapy in humans.

In his resignation letter he said he had been willing to work with Kennedy but that “it has become clear that truth and transparency are not desired by the Secretary, but rather he wishes subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies”
I’d be curious to know if anyone doubts this about RFk. Like do you think someone could carefully walk Kennedy through the existing evidence and he’d be like ‘Oh, yeah. Now I get it.’
Or has his internalization of the many non-falsifiable retorts of the anti-vax community rendered him unable to accept any conclusion except the one pre-formed in his head years ago?

I hope he goes public with some more details about his interactions with RFK that led him to conclude that truth and transparency has no place. I'm will listen, but until then, we have one side of a story that began with Dr Marks being asked to leave, by RFK.

He frequently contradicts himself, essentially meaning you can't believe he means anything he says.
