I suspect it was Turo . Airbnb for cars.

Yeah it was Turo. I used it a few years ago when it was impossible to get rental cars. It met the need but I haven't used it since because rental cars are accessible again.

@George-K said in 10 Killed in NOLA:

That whole interview is interesting. First off, he thought the FBI immediately saying this was not a terrorist attack was stupid. Second, he's going to hold the FBI accountable for this investigation with an intense focus on the truth. This is a man who does not want to be lied to or stonewalled.

It's a shame we have gotten to this point, where U.S. Senators no longer trust the Bureau...

The presser was pretty much a disaster. Lots of platitudes, grandstanding and posturing, no real information. Kennedy was the only person that made much sense.

Ah yes the FBI. It's a lawfare just-us organization that needs to be cut while also come on FBI why didn't you stop this?

Also, lost in the headlines, this happened yesterday too: https://apnews.com/article/homemade-bombs-seized-virginia-firearms-c68488480ef8bd3de7b432272399aa28

No, I don't work for the FBI. But I have friends that do, and you would (or wouldn't?) be surprised with how much they thwart beforehand.

Not really what I was expecting. I wonder how much of this was mental health as opposed to religious fanaticism.

                  I was only joking

Probably quite a lot. Authorities are now stating they believe he acted alone and no one else was involved as previously thought. Moreover no links are showing up with the Tesla bomb in Vegas.

I don't know anything about this one. On the list of probabilities, I don't put border issues near the top. Maybe we'll get a manifesto. If there were two of them, linking the Las Vegas guy to the NOLA guy, I would hope we get a manifesto, I mean if we're all in agreement that such a document is of public value.

                                    Again, resources are not unlimited.

                                    What are your priorities?

                                    People's lives?

                                    Or an exhibition of power?

Or an investigation (the I in FBI) into the abuse of power, too. I'm cool with it all. Justice.

Again, Mr. Nail-Jello-To-The-Wall...With finite resources - and that's what you have - what is more important? People's lives or an exhibition of power?

                                    Pick one.

You see it as an exhibition. I see it as the judicial process regardless if it’s an elected official.

No, I've got some wisdom and common sense. I know that resources are finite. I also know murder is a more serious crime than trespassing or even assaulting a police officer.

With all the cameras in the Capitol building and the abundance of evidence, Federal law enforcement should have had J6 sorted out in a couple of months worth of investigation. But no, they're still working cases almost four years down the line, for what?

Some unknown idiot who put his feet on Pelosi's desk?

I want you to drop by one of the multiple funerals from the murders in New Orleans and explain to me why you had one fucking junior G-man chasing trespassers from an event four years previous and you can't keep the damn country safe from radicalized Muslim terrorists?

You can't prevent two assassination attempts on a major party POTUS nominee?

You can't stop illegal aliens from entering the country and murdering U.S. citizens?

Remind me again how important the FBI is again...

I wonder in how many of the last, say, 40 years would you have used such logic - ‘but crimes were still committed’ - to define failure in the FBI or any other law enforcement body.

Though I admit when I get a ticket I’m tempted to say the same thing to a cop ‘why are you ticketing me instead of….’ But I know better than to say it.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
