I take it as empty fan service, an eye for an eye smite against the dominant culture that was understood by all to impose the economic death penalty on anybody who, for instance, dared to publicly question their employer’s shiny new DEI division.
Yes, it’s all a great shame for those hoping for coherent principle rather than cultural retribution.

Sure, empty posturing about employers firing people for high fiving in the break room over Charlie Kirk is an acceptable trade off for the erosion of the culture that gave us DEI offices in our workplaces, along with the understood consequences of criticizing them.
