How’s your morning going?

Aren't small airports great? I used to take a scheduled charter flight out of Lunken airport here. {ark free 50 feet or less from the terminal, walk in, drop off my bag, show my id and walk out 50 more feet to the plane. Same on the other end, and my rental car was waiting at the curb. Sadly COVID killed them.

Yeah I really like flying out of here. There aren’t too many destinations though. Mainly east coast hubs, eg United to Chicago, Delta to Atlanta, etc.
JetBlue does have flights to west palm and lauderdale.
American has this one to DC, and just last month started Miami.
DC and Miami are my most frequented destinations so I’m pretty happy.
Downside - if your flight gets canceled, not nearly as many options as at LGA. Also, tends to be $150-200 more than similar flights from LGA.

Fly Cape Air from Nantucket, sometimes the pilot will let you sit in the co-pilot's seat, there is only one pilot. The view is great.

I’ve flown Cape Air from San Juan to Culebra and back, twice. 6-8 passenger aircraft. Pilot looks 19 max.

Yes, I know a few guys that flew for Cape Air.
They come out of college needing hours. So the become flight instructors for a year or 2 then fly for someone like Cape Air for a few years.
Cape Air is an awesome gig for an early 20-something. Fly the Caribbean during the winter, then the Cape and the Islands in the summer. Lots of partying, lots of responsibility, lots of hours. Eventually, they all burn out, but it is fun while it lasts.

The landing was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Aborted once. Massive turbulence.
It's very windy there (as you know by now). 18mph with gusts up to 40, so I'm not surprised with a regional jet. We had really bad winds yesterday (I got my first "snowsquall!" weather warning, which was cool) so maybe it's the same weather front coming through.

89th, man.... this is getting a bit creepy.
I'm just giving friendly reminders of how the internet can be used easily. Give me google maps, white pages, linked in and flight radar, and that's basically all you need! LOL
