I’ll be late to the first meeting. Good news is it’s Kennedy from NY-26 and we have a constituent of his in our group. They’ll be fine without me

    Only non-witches get due process.

The landing was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Aborted once. Massive turbulence.

        Aren't small airports great?

Fly Cape Air from Nantucket, sometimes the pilot will let you sit in the co-pilot's seat, there is only one pilot. The view is great.

I’ve flown Cape Air from San Juan to Culebra and back, twice. 6-8 passenger aircraft. Pilot looks 19 max.

Yes, I know a few guys that flew for Cape Air.

They come out of college needing hours. So the become flight instructors for a year or 2 then fly for someone like Cape Air for a few years.

Cape Air is an awesome gig for an early 20-something. Fly the Caribbean during the winter, then the Cape and the Islands in the summer. Lots of partying, lots of responsibility, lots of hours. Eventually, they all burn out, but it is fun while it lasts.

It's very windy there (as you know by now). 18mph with gusts up to 40, so I'm not surprised with a regional jet. We had really bad winds yesterday (I got my first "snowsquall!" weather warning, which was cool) so maybe it's the same weather front coming through.

I'm just giving friendly reminders of how the internet can be used easily. Give me google maps, white pages, linked in and flight radar, and that's basically all you need! LOL

In my taxi. Should be to the Cannon office building at 11:45.

I left the house at 5. If I had just driven here I’d have been here by 10am.

After your meeting you should walk one block north to SCOTUS and join a protest or something.

Sometimes they give free tours, even when they're supposed to be closed. The rule is, if the door's open, walk on in! Especially if there's a crowd with you!

Those are some big ass doors. I had a friend who was a cop there who gave us a personal tour one weekend. Really cool... amazing spiral staircase (link) that is self-supported using the cantilevered design, a basketball court ABOVE the court (they joke that the basketball court is truly the 'highest court in the land'), and of course the actual court room in which you're not allowed to take pictures. Spoiler: I took pictures.

I've been to DC but all I remember was the Lincoln gift shop where the guy behind the counter was an afficionado of the assassination but not so much anything else about Lincoln.

That is a nice go-around. The wind was from the west (280) at 23 gusting to 35. He landed on runway 1 so the wind on downwind and final l was straight sideways.

So if you lose your election you get booted from your office while they get it ready for the next guy. But your staff still has work to do, there are still votes, etc. So they have this area in the basement for you.
