Well, I don't know that this was a grand scheme to affect the election. You'd have to be pretty stupid to think that demonetizing conservative channels a week before the election would help your cause, when so much of the rhetoric from the right is about how the left loves censorship. I think this was a relatively stupid activist editor at the NYT, making a misstep, as relatively stupid activists will do.

Tucker asks the rhetorical question about whether this is why that guy got into journalism, as if the obvious answer should be no? But political activism is actually why that guy probably got into journalism.
That was one of the reasons I left Journalism in the late 70's. Everybody - and I do mean everybody - wanted to Be Woodward and Bernstein rather than just covering the news.
