Yup. I agree. (Though I suppose that the counter argument would be that any benefit would take a generation or two to show up.)

I’ve never seen a reparations proposal where a subset of society pays. It’s always the government.

The ironic thing is that the modal African American, at least barring 20th and 21st C immigrants, is directly descended from a slave owner or overseer while the modal white American isn’t.

Most of the people living in Yorkshire consider themselves to be directly descended from Jesus Christ. If they start asking for reparations, we're screwed.
