What is "middle of the road" when it comes to reparations?

I was thinking about that, too.

      I'm 1st generation American.

My great grandfather was killed by the Soviets? When can I expect a check?

Oh, and where's the evidence that "reparations" will do anything positive for the society that gets them?

There is none. I say middle of the road because she's giving it lip service, fully knowing it's going nowhere fast.

I want the contract to figure out who gets paid and how much.

Yup. I agree. (Though I suppose that the counter argument would be that any benefit would take a generation or two to show up.)

I will be your assistant. That would be a job that would basically last forever.

Silly Lufin. She's not white, which will be the criteria.

I’ve never seen a reparations proposal where a subset of society pays. It’s always the government.

If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

The ironic thing is that the modal African American, at least barring 20th and 21st C immigrants, is directly descended from a slave owner or overseer while the modal white American isn’t.

Most of the people living in Yorkshire consider themselves to be directly descended from Jesus Christ. If they start asking for reparations, we're screwed.

                            I was only joking

They differ from the people born in Lancashire, since Yorkshiremen only think they're descended from Christ.
