Last night we had some incredible pizza.
One was a buffalo chicken pizza: Mozzarella, all-natural buffalo chicken, caramelized onions, and applewood smoked bacon with a swirl of buffalo sauce. Served with a swirl of bleu cheese.
The other was called Holy Shitake: Olive oil and garlic base, shiitake, button and portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and MontAmoré
. Finished with a garlic aioli swirl and a spritz of black truffle oil. Garnished with fresh chives and shaved parmesan.
These were so good that I brought several slices to work for lunch. Unfortunately, I left them in the car for 4 hours. Think they are still good?

Only one way to find out.
I'd probably risk it after 4 hours. I'd give them a sniff first, mind.

I mean, what's the worst that can happen? An uncomfortable 24 hours? It might be worth it.

Probably.

What concerns me is the aioli and the blue cheese.

How hot was it in the car?
I've had blue cheese that's been standing around for a day or two at regular temps, no problem at all.

I’d eat it but not let anyone witness me doing it.

Others have said it, but I'm a big believer in the sniff test.
If the car was room-ish temperature, 4 hours is compleeeetly fine. If the car is in the 100's.... sniff test.

Leftover pizza? Thanks but no thanks. Fresh pizza or no pizza. Regardless of whether it's a health hazard.

Pizza has so many freaking calories that it's only worth it if it's top quality and super fresh.

When in doubt, throw it out. The question is the answer. Especially chicken.
