I dunno. Did the National Enquirer bury evidence of corruption, or was it just his reprehensible behavior?

They buried information that could have led people not to vote for him. Isn't that the point of this? It's what Jolly is describing as election interference. They paid somebody off. Michael Cohen went to jail for lying about it.

@Jolly said in Lying To The Camera:
That's election interference writ large.
Doing so should not stand. It should have serious repercussions or next time it will be worse. And there will be a next time.
If those are the new rules, everybody will play by them.
Oh man can you image this type of response from you on January 6th if it was Obama and his BLM cadre storming the capitol and making up election fraud claims because Obama didn't like losing in an election? Your TNCR posts would be PURE gold in your outrage. But alas... it was Trump at the mic, not Obama.

Hypothetical.
I'm dealing in facts.

Nah, you're so biased you won't admit stone cold Truth.
- Biden knowingly lied about the laptop - Fact.
- Officials knowingly concocted the 51 Letter, perpetuating another Russian fable, helping to give cover to a complicit media - Fact
- 80% of Americans think that truthful media coverage if his laptop would have changed votes in the 2020 election. Fact.

Kind of hard to know what people knew and when.
Nobody thought the laptop was legit when it was revealed by Giuliani (!) in October. Even FoxNews and WSJ passed on the story.

Didn't the editor of the National Enquirer admit to suppressing negative stories about his friend Donald Trump during the 2016 election campaign?
Or is that completely different?

Didn't the editor of the National Enquirer admit to suppressing negative stories about his friend Donald Trump during the 2016 election campaign?
Or is that completely different?
Didnt also the FBI manager announce an investigation of Hillary Clinton emails just before the 2016 election? And a lot of people say that was enough to influence their vote?

Comey notified members of Congress that the FBI was again looking into Clinton's use of a private email server.
October 31, 2016 via CNN
Hillary Clinton’s campaign was jolted when FBI Director James Comey delivered the ultimate October surprise.
Eleven days before the 2016 presidential election, Comey announced that the FBI had discovered additional emails and is reviewing them to see whether they are related to the bureau’s investigation into Clinton’s handling of classified information.

Here’s one thing we can all say for certain regarding the latest twist of the Hillary Clinton email scandal: James Comey, who was once regarded as the Eliot Ness of law enforcement, a modern day straight-shooter impenetrable to political pressure, will instead leave the office of FBI chief as something closer to Inspector Clouseau.
Don’t take my word for it; that’s the assessment of just about every law enforcement official, both former and present, I spoke to in the hours following his bizarre decision on Friday to reopen the case on the legality of Hillary Clinton’s email server, just days before the Nov 8 presidential election.

Admitting Trump lost to a guy who could quite possibly be suffering from dementia is hard psychologically. But it's true nonetheless. And the inability to admit this inevitably leads to us having to sit through another election with two mentally deficient candidates attempting not to wet themselves during the debates.

He didn’t say the FBI. He said the 51 officials and Joe himself.
It’s not like there’s some slack channel where every new development in every fbI investigation gets instantly shared with all government officials.
In fact, it was probably only a handful of FbI agents who knew.

On one hand, we are comparing something that happened...It's a fact Hillary used a private server for official email, including classified documents, then tried to destroy all evidence of doing so.
On the other hand, we have a very real laptop from Hunter that contains examples of illegal behavior and possible acceptance of bribes, along with influence peddling. A laptop story that was spiked by MSM and the POTUS said was a lie. A laptop labeled as Russian disinformation by government officials who knew better.
See the difference?
