Most Famous Sandwich in Each State
For example:
ILLINOIS: A Horseshoe sandwich
Illinois is known for an open-faced sandwich called the Horseshoe, made with thick-sliced toasted bread, your choice of meat, and topped with french fries and a secret cheese sauce.
LOUISIANA: A po' boy
The po' boy sandwich is one of Louisiana's most iconic eats. The classic sub is made with French bread and roast beef or fried seafood. A "dressed" po' boy has lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayonnaise with optional onions and hot or regular mustard.
NEW YORK: A pastrami sandwich on rye
There's nothing more NYC than a pastrami sandwich from Katz's Delicatessen in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The famous deli, which opened its doors in 1888, is known as one of the city's oldest delis and arguably the most famous deli in the entire country.
OHIO: A Polish boy
Not to be confused with Louisiana's po' boy, Ohio's Polish boy is a sausage sandwich native to Cleveland. It has a link of kielbasa covered with a layer of french fries, barbecue or hot sauce, and coleslaw, all on a bun.

Not only have I not seen one, I've never even HEARD of this.
-
MASSACHUSETTS: A Fluffernutter
RHODE ISLAND: A Dynamite sandwich
Funnily enough, I've never heard of either of these either. I'm beginning to suspect this article is bullshit.

I mean, Chicago has Italian Beef and the Chicago Dog and they went with this?

No Polish boys in Ohio. Clickbait.
Lots of Polish Boys in Cleveland… But it’s a ripoff of the Primanti Brothers sandwiches in Pittsburgh.

Maryland's is well-deserved.
My home town is about as far away from the Chesapeake Bay that Maryland allows. It's not even in the Bay watershed. The rivers, lakes and streams there are not connected to it in any way.
And still just about every restaurant offers crabcake sandwiches because that's what the tourons expect when they're in Maryland. Most of the time, the crabs used aren't even from there.

Fluffernutter
Marshmallow Fluff and Peanut Butter, they used to advertise this on kids TV 60 years ago.
@Copper I used to eat them at about age 9 or so. Haven’t had one since
