The northernmost part of Texas is closer to North Dakota, Minneapolis, and Lake Michigan, than it is to the southernmost point of Texas.

I have other fun geographical trivia to share. What do you want to share WITHOUT googling for a list of facts?

Pocahontas and William Shakespeare died within a year, and less than 150 miles from each other.

          Here is one about Taiwan.

For garbage collection, the garbage truck drives slowly down the streets and alleys, and the people come out with their own garbage and throw it into the back of the truck. Mostly, they come by every day at about the same time.

(PS The trucks play Fur Elise in the style of an ice cream truck so people know that they are coming. Whenever I hear the opening to that song, I think of garbage trucks in Taiwan. LOL)

Louisiana has no mountains, but we do have a hill that's called a mountain, because perspective is everything.😄

Driscoll Mountain is in Bienville Parish and is 535 feet above sea level.
