    @Axtremus said in My bet?:

Maybe Trump will select another Trump relative to be his VP candidate, like he made Laura Trump the head of the RNC.

    Don Jr.

    Wouldn't that be fun?

    Nah...

    Don Jr. for AG.

      https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-s-vp-pick-canidates-men-election-b2557580.html

Donald Trump has narrowed down his search for a running mate and is focused on four potential vice president candidates, all of whom are men, according to a report.

Trump, who was historically convicted of 34 felony charges in New York last week, has recently received vetting material from some of the candidates, sources told NBC News.

The source told the outlet that the search is concentrating on North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and US Senators Marco Rubio of Florida, Tim Scott of South Carolina, and JD Vance of Ohio.

In the very first sentence, the "Independent" tells you that Trump hates women.

In the second, they tell you that he's a convicted felon.

News reporting should probably stick to the second as an objective fact. The first is more of an opinion.

I wouldn’t be surprised by Vance.

A black VP could change the balance of power for years.

                  Racist, I know.

                  But it would work.

Vance is my favorite of the list.

If I thought there was any ground to be made up culturally that would alter the tides of the race narrative, I might instead choose Scott. But it just wouldn't matter.

A ½ term junior senator from the Midwest?

The only election strategy that goes into my equation is what would make me happiest with the ticket. beyond that, Vance might not be the best choice.
