Who cares? They've featured George II, and Blackbeard, both of whom were real people. And Johnny Depp plays a freaking English guy, FFS. And since when did pirates wear eye-liner?
Incidentally, if you think that Irish bird looked anything like the picture you posted....well, I've got a parrot for sale, going cheep.
