Webpages these days...



  • Two things that I can’t believe are happening in 2020:

    1. The cookie/privacy warning on every fucking website.
    2. Sites that are absolutely choked with ads and other non-content. I almost always hit “reader” view on my iPhone, if the view is enabled.


  • Soon I think the choice is going to become a) that bullshit, or b) subscribe monthly.



  • The cookie/privacy notice is driven by privacy laws ... EU enacted GDPR, California enacted CCPA. If you built a website, you might as well make your site GDPR and CCPA compliant for every visitor, including ones that may not hail from the EU or California.



  • You can run a web site without cookies.

    And the options suck and are hard to interpret. Should have two options... track me is okay or don’t track me.
