The wild world is trying to kill me.

OK, so I have the carpenters here fixing a couple years of woodpecker damage and various siding repairs, replacing cedar with cement board. I'd do it but most of it is high ladder work.
Whilst doing this Stella, our adventure cat, took a running leap through the basement, up onto a table on its side against the wall and up into the joists which are exposed until we refinish the basement. There are 1 by 2 furring strips perpendicular to the joists, so she had places to traverse the area. Once she got up there, she got a little scared and wasn't sure how to get down.
While she was up there, we saw daylight coming through, finding a hole where our chipmunks likely got in. So now I have to fix that.
Next the carpenter showed me a picture he took of what has to be coon scat on our sunroom roof. Swell. We're a raccoon portolet.
THEN they found some wasps nesting up at the top of the chimney. Well, they killed those so that's good.
Next up? Rain of frogs.

My neighbour and I dealt with the skunk that sprayed Von Dawghausen in September. Found his den and waited for him to go on his rounds one evening. It was under the next neighbour’s formed concrete front steps. We dug down a foot or so and bricked it up a bunch of paving and stacking stones we both had laying around our yards. He had to move on. Haven’t seen him now since the end of September.
