I do see how her words can indicate a de-tribalization on her part.
The reason you know who she is is because she already de-tribalized in the summer of 2020. She quit in the aftermath of the young wokesters cashiering James Bennett and started a sub stack which (with SV funding) became the Free Press.
What you're witnessing now (perhaps) is her re-tribalization. Sometimes that happens, you know.

she didn't just do that, she went on to say that 'We didn’t like the messenger, so we killed the message' but that isn't true in cases 2 and 3.
I'm comfortable with her contention that good ideas out of Trump were attacked, strictly due to the association. Whether they ultimately survived those attacks when they came to a vote, is a different question. The "we" she is referring to are presumably journalists, not elected officials.

I'm aware of her history, and her visceral appreciation for free thinking and free speech. People differ in that regard.

The reason I'm aware of her history is because she lived that particular history. If she had not lived that particular history, I would not be aware of that particular history. Point granted.
Saying good and true things about Trump the politician, isn't necessarily a sign of tribalization. I would call it a detribalization, as tribalism often forces people to be selective about the positive things they say. A non-tribal person can give credit where it's due.

You made me read the actual article. Jolly’s quote isn’t Bari, it’s an author she’s quoting about whom I know nothing.
It's partially Bari...
True but the specifics of what Horace and I were discussing (Bari's de- or re-tribalization) was based on things the guy said, not Bari.
