True but there’s also a tremendous pressure inside Israel to get hostages home by means other than military force. Bibi’s governing coalition is very fragile.

How long did it take them to communicate all that was needed prior to Oct. 7th to make it happen the way it did?
Is the communications infrastructure they used to communicate prior to Oct. 7th still functional or has that been disrupted since?

Would be natural to see Hamas counter-propose a smaller number. Imagine the political pressure that could place on the Israeli government.

Hamas replies:
“The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas seeks to extend the truce after the 4-day period ends, through serious efforts to increase the number of those released from imprisonment as stipulated in the humanitarian cease-fire agreement,” the group said in a statement.
