the thing that always stopped it, was the price of war, too many soldiers dead. now we have (its going to be) 1000 dead and havent even crossed the border yet.
so this will get ugly, and lot of innocents will suffer, but a red line has been crossed which can never be redone. i dont think there will be negotiations for hostages. there will be all out war and if hostages die, its all part of the price for getting it done

scattered reports about something in the north, but not verified yet....
in the meantime El Al has sent out a plane to south america, going country to country, picking up israeli trekkers trying to return to there reserve units. typical isreali wartime behaviour

the idea is to bring hamas to its knees, and then some. till they beg to stop, and even then we wont until all their heads are served on a plate.

Israel’s military acknowledged on Monday that it was still battling to drive Palestinian militants out of southern towns near the Gaza Strip and that more militants could still be crossing through breaches in the border fence, two days after an invasion that has killed hundreds and provoked furious retaliatory strikes by Israel.
“We are still fighting,” Lt. Col. Richard Hecht of the Israel Defense Forces said at a briefing on Monday morning, offering an unusually blunt assessment of the military’s struggles to turn back the invasion that began on Saturday. “We thought by this morning we’d be in a better place.”

Hamas is probably thinking this to themselves.
This large scale attack will accelerate Hamas’ demise.

some local bozos tried to shoot two mortar rounds over the fence
one landed in lebanon on the same side of the fence, the other in an open field over the border.

I do know one thing...No attack this large was done without knowledge of the Palestinian government in Gaza.

hamas is much more compartmentalized
if anyone knew, its hezbollah in lebanon, because they have similar operational plans. and if they know, maybe Iran knew.
but if Iran knew, that would be a big intelligence failure. Tehran is also pretty leaky in that respect. Too many Iranians on mossad or CIA payrolls.

The fact that so much points to Iran and the recent revelation that US State had an Iranian asset at high levels (Malley), makes you wonder.

now they say they did kill three infiltrators in the north who crossed from lebanon. nothing more.

The headline here this morning is the USS Gerald Ford strike group, based here in Norfolk, is headed to aid Israel. They could certainly supply some power. It will be interesting to see how it is used.

I saw earlier today that it is misinformation. Not fake but not of Hamas or Israelis. The video is of Azeri forces capturing Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh a couple of weeks ago.

I saw earlier today that it is misinformation. Not fake but not of Hamas or Israelis. The video is of Azeri forces capturing Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh a couple of weeks ago.
