It’s characteristic of the righteous TDS mind that they believe that further education about Donald Trump will convince everybody else of the self evident fact that he is disgusting. The judge thinks this will be a learning opportunity for the masses.

It’s also 6 months out. The Iowa caucuses are in January and the political calendar is full through July then the general election starts.
It’s hard to image a trial date she might have set that wouldn’t be answered by cries of foul.

Surely, you know that it's one day before Super Tuesday. Wonder if her phone logs show a call from a burner phone (owned by the DNC).

According to some polls, the arrests of President Trump only helped him. Do you think that starting the trial when it is will also help him? Or hurt him? Maybe the judge got a call from President Trumps campaign.

Donald Trump said on Monday he would appeal the scheduling of a March 2024 trial over his alleged efforts to subvert his 2020 election defeat, though legal experts said such a move was not possible before a verdict is reached in the case.
"I will APPEAL," Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. He did not say how or when the appeal would be made.

Rigging an election, c. 2024.

Why would this be political? If Trump ran again he would lose by an even bigger
marginlandslide than he did in 2020. The dems should WANT Trump to be at the top of the GOP ticket for 2024. -

Trump lost the Presidency by about 100,000 votes. In a rigged election.

Look at the electoral map now. Biden has this locked up against a Trump challenger. And trust me, I don't want Biden.

I still think elections revolve around kitchen table issues, mostly economic ones.
IMO, the major issues this election cycle:
- The economy
- The economy
- Education
- Abortion

Do you think that abortion is a "kitchen table" issue? Perhaps in the sense that it drives those that sit around the table to support one candidate vs another, but it doesn't affect their lives in the manner of the first three.

Abortion is an issue for people who feel really, really strongly about abortion, in whichever direction.
But how they vote is pretty much a given anyway.

I would guess that's actually a pretty small number.
But how they vote is pretty much a given anyway.
Yup. That was kind of my point.

I’ve heard it said that before Dobbs, abortion drove turnout on the GOP side and after Dobbs it’s the opposite.

A cynic might say that the best way of ensuring a good voter turnout is to keep promising something that people want, but then find ways to be thwarted so that you can continue to promise it.
Once it's put in place, the one-issue voters stop bothering to vote.

It’s notable that all the abortion referenda that have come out since Dobbs were victories for the pro-choice side. All of them. Even in red states.

While the Dems are pretty much abortion until birth, and some would kill the baby after it's born, some Republicans are offering a compromise number. Trump has floated a trial balloon of 15 weeks.
I've heard the same figure mused about by a couple of other GOP politicians.Personally, I think SCOTUS got it right. It's a state issue. The national GOP has done a lousy job of explaining Dobbs to the voters. OTOH, the MSM has certainly vilified them to no end.

"On the kitchen table, with a coat hanger."
One of the murder scenarios in the updated 21st Century version of "Clue: Never Stop Talking About Abortion edition".

This is the beauty of the unachievable goal of total group equality, or the total eradication of racist things caught on video.
