    Rigging an election, c. 2024.

Why would this be political? If Trump ran again he would lose by an even bigger margin landslide than he did in 2020. The dems should WANT Trump to be at the top of the GOP ticket for 2024.

Trump lost the Presidency by about 100,000 votes. In a rigged election.

Look at the electoral map now. Biden has this locked up against a Trump challenger. And trust me, I don't want Biden.

I still think elections revolve around kitchen table issues, mostly economic ones.

IMO, the major issues this election cycle:

            1. The economy
            2. The economy
            3. Education
            4. Abortion

Do you think that abortion is a "kitchen table" issue? Perhaps in the sense that it drives those that sit around the table to support one candidate vs another, but it doesn't affect their lives in the manner of the first three.

Abortion is an issue for people who feel really, really strongly about abortion, in whichever direction.

But how they vote is pretty much a given anyway.

I’ve heard it said that before Dobbs, abortion drove turnout on the GOP side and after Dobbs it’s the opposite.

A cynic might say that the best way of ensuring a good voter turnout is to keep promising something that people want, but then find ways to be thwarted so that you can continue to promise it.

Once it's put in place, the one-issue voters stop bothering to vote.

It’s notable that all the abortion referenda that have come out since Dobbs were victories for the pro-choice side. All of them. Even in red states.

While the Dems are pretty much abortion until birth, and some would kill the baby after it's born, some Republicans are offering a compromise number. Trump has floated a trial balloon of 15 weeks.
I've heard the same figure mused about by a couple of other GOP politicians.

Personally, I think SCOTUS got it right. It's a state issue. The national GOP has done a lousy job of explaining Dobbs to the voters. OTOH, the MSM has certainly vilified them to no end.

This is the beauty of the unachievable goal of total group equality, or the total eradication of racist things caught on video.

It's an equal and opposite reaction to "Getting back to the race narrative and how much the Democrats suck..."

                                        I was only joking
