What the actual hell is going on in France.

I guess this will create some "angry reactionary" French people, who will struggle to find a political voice, after being dismissed and marginalized by the left. The whole west is facing similar culture wars.

Maybe tell Le Pen or her father. They would be overjoyed to hear about this new development.

I am sure they are aware of the demonization of their political perspective. Which was my point.

I don't think one really needs to demonize the elder le Pen. He did that all by himself.

And now anybody who sniffs of him will be lumped in with him. SOP for political messaging against conservatives.

Well, he's founder and former leader of the RN party, so it's not wholly inappropriate to make a connection, is it?
And Le Pen isn't a conservative.

That’s been the case since literally before you were born. If anything events have brought that movement out of the closet. This will accelerate it if anything.

The melting pot works, but it only works under certain conditions.
- Be it America, France, Canada or Norway, a new immigrant must want to be there.
- The new immigrant should be highly encouraged to become a citizen. In this case, France first, Algeria second.
- You can't dump too many people into a new country and expect them to assimilate rapidly and smoothly.
- People need to immigrate as families, rather than as young, single males.
- New immigrants must bring skills or money to the table. General labor is fine, if that is what is needed.
Yup good post.
