Well, looks like Trump whipped her by 20 points in her own state.
She runs as an independent and her political career is over. I have my doubts.
Would she have the money and potential voter support to run as an independent?
I'm surprised she's had as much money as she has had. Could she raise enough for a run? I dunno.
Voter support? She couldn't win her home state. I just don't see where she could garner enough support to make a big enough difference as an independent.
Graham is 68. Scott might be Trump's running mate. Either way, that might be a future possibility, but not if she makes an independent run. At least IMO.

On "voter support" for Haley:
According to SC Republican primary exit polls:
-
Trump won every demographic, every income level, except the college educated cohort, except those who consider themselves "moderate" or "liberal"
-
Forget about leaving abortion laws to the states, a majority of the SC Republican primary voters want a federal ban on abortion, and this group overwhelmingly supports Trump

"About 6 in 10 South Carolina GOP primary voters denied the legitimacy of Biden’s 2020 presidential election ..." Go figure.

I'd guess it's closer to 70% down here...Then again, we know how much elections can be manipulated.

He was always projected to win.
But a 60/40 win isn't what they expected weeks ago. He was supposed to have at least twice that of the next candidate. I do find it interesting that since mid-January, Nikki has gone up 13 points, Trump has gone up 3.
Most of the DeSantis (et al) nominee voters went to Nikki.
Here were the SC polls for the last 6 months:
Purple = Donald
Red = NikkiI'm telling you, the lack of enthusiasm for Trump compared to 2020 (where he lost as well) should greatly concern you if you want Biden out of office.

You'd find a way to look on the sunny side of a hanging.

Nikki Haley to Exit Republican Presidential Race
Nikki Haley plans to suspend her Republican presidential primary bid in a speech Wednesday morning, people familiar with her plans told The Wall Street Journal.
The former South Carolina governor and United Nations ambassador is expected to make an appearance to deliver brief remarks in the Charleston, S.C., area around 10 a.m. ET. Her decision arrived the day after Super Tuesday, when she won only Vermont among 15 states that held GOP contests.
Haley won’t announce an endorsement Wednesday, the people said. She will encourage Donald Trump, who is close to having the delegates needed to win the GOP nomination, to earn the support of Republican and independent voters who backed her.
She is expected to emphasize that she will continue to advocate for the conservative domestic and foreign policies she supports and caution against some of the dangers, such as isolationism and a lack of fiscal discipline, that she sees coming from Washington.

Biden is going to win unless he dies. When he wins, it essentially guarantees a GOP win in 2028 against Kamala. So there is hope in the future...
I still think @LuFins-Dad right when he predicted a while ago that once President Biden has enough delegates, there will be a way to announce he is dropping out (medical reason or something like that). Since he will have secured the nomination, he will be able to appoint someone to take his place, and I don't think it will be VP Harris.
