The whistleblower is a gay woman married to a trans. At least, if it’s the same story as I’ve seen.

Zoom out and we see a pattern emerge, where crazy social narratives on which straight white males are disallowed from opining, metastasize to absurd levels. Eventually only those who are prone to be biased towards those narratives are the ones who have to speak out against them. We see this with the race narratives, where there are no serious white voices opposed to them, but we do have the Lourys and McWhorters. Now we see it with the “child mutilation is good” narrative, which can only be publicly condemned by people in the community that should in theory be supportive.

So basically if the majority culture is defined away as not credible, shit goes haywire. Which is exactly the point of defining away the majority culture. Well played, the left.

Trump was easy and we saw a lot of people publicly imagining themselves as part of a courageous resistance, willing to sacrifice anything for their ideals. My feeling is that most of those people are now silently watching the child mutilation occur, terrified of losing social status by giving any voice to their misgivings. Actual courage and actual principles are well and good, but Trump hatred was hardly a difficult test. Now we see those same people failing a test which should still be pretty easy. But not quite easy enough for an indoctrinated lefty.

I would probably consider doing it without parental consent a bigger crime.

The whole thought that it is okay to allow minors to make these medical decisions without the consent or even knowledge of their parents and legal guardians is so fundamentally wrong that it borders on evil. And not just by the medical professionals but educators, school systems, and politicians that allowed and encouraged this.

I am aghast at what has happened to the public school systems.

How far does it go? Because in my opinion, every teacher and administrator in every school district that went along with the principal of not informing parents have demonstrated a total and complete unfitness for their positions and should not be allowed within 500 feet of any child. That would essentially break the public school system.

And at what point do people start considering whether parents that DID approve these treatments and did subject their children to these dangerous drugs are fit to be parents? I could easily see the pendulum swinging that far…

One could hope. It would be an interesting flash point where the parent would be martyred by much of the media coverage, but it would force some discussion.

It’s hard to imagine state interference going beyond (1) preventing medical intervention of minors and (2) preventing schools from changing name/pronouns etc w/o parental consent.

It’s legit interesting watching the mainstream leftist media countenance this topic that any ostensibly decent adult human being knows has a good side, and an evil side, when the evil side happens to reside on the left in this case.

My guess is that the way forward for the cognitively dissonant leftist is to not think or talk about it at all.
