Pretty damning, state officials are involved. Even the University is shocked, or at least pretending to be.

    Only non-witches get due process.

      Here’s a story about it.

The whistleblower is a gay woman married to a trans. At least, if it’s the same story as I’ve seen.

Zoom out and we see a pattern emerge, where crazy social narratives on which straight white males are disallowed from opining, metastasize to absurd levels. Eventually only those who are prone to be biased towards those narratives are the ones who have to speak out against them. We see this with the race narratives, where there are no serious white voices opposed to them, but we do have the Lourys and McWhorters. Now we see it with the “child mutilation is good” narrative, which can only be publicly condemned by people in the community that should in theory be supportive.

So basically if the majority culture is defined away as not credible, shit goes haywire. Which is exactly the point of defining away the majority culture. Well played, the left.

Trump was easy and we saw a lot of people publicly imagining themselves as part of a courageous resistance, willing to sacrifice anything for their ideals. My feeling is that most of those people are now silently watching the child mutilation occur, terrified of losing social status by giving any voice to their misgivings. Actual courage and actual principles are well and good, but Trump hatred was hardly a difficult test. Now we see those same people failing a test which should still be pretty easy. But not quite easy enough for an indoctrinated lefty.

        Education is extremely important.

            I saw it yesterday.

These people should not only lose their licenses, but perhaps spend some time in jail.

@George-K I agree. It's Medical malpractice at the very least. Fraud mixed with an assault charge perhaps? Prescribing drugs so far off label that it really should be illegal?

That's the most slippery of slopes.

I would probably consider doing it without parental consent a bigger crime.

The whole thought that it is okay to allow minors to make these medical decisions without the consent or even knowledge of their parents and legal guardians is so fundamentally wrong that it borders on evil. And not just by the medical professionals but educators, school systems, and politicians that allowed and encouraged this.

I am aghast at what has happened to the public school systems.

There seems to be a turning right now. The British clinic that’s been shut down and the thousand lawsuits… This story… The various states passing bans on Trans treatment for minors, period… With or without parental consent…

How far does it go? Because in my opinion, every teacher and administrator in every school district that went along with the principal of not informing parents have demonstrated a total and complete unfitness for their positions and should not be allowed within 500 feet of any child. That would essentially break the public school system.

And at what point do people start considering whether parents that DID approve these treatments and did subject their children to these dangerous drugs are fit to be parents? I could easily see the pendulum swinging that far…

Often parents are not unified about these things. And guess which parent is pro-mutilation and which is anti-mutilation, in the vast majority of cases? You guessed it, progressive women are all in, and the guys they marry sometimes put up a fight. Sometimes.

One could hope. It would be an interesting flash point where the parent would be martyred by much of the media coverage, but it would force some discussion.

                              @LuFins-Dad

It’s hard to imagine state interference going beyond (1) preventing medical intervention of minors and (2) preventing schools from changing name/pronouns etc w/o parental consent.

Sometimes.

Take that Disney executive that bragged about having a trans kid… Let’s say she was moved to Florida… I could see Florida Child Services paying a visit, could you?

The actual affidavit. Much more detail than the article. Worth skimming.

                                    Example:

Social media is at least partly responsible for this large increase in children seeking gender transition treatment from the Center. Many children themselves would say that they learned of their gender identities from TikTok. Children would arrive at the Center identifying not only as transgender, but also as having tic disorders (Tourette Syndrome) or multiple personality disorders (dissociative identity disorder). Doctors at the Center would ignore and dismiss as social contagion the claims about the tics and multiple personalities; but then those doctors would uncritically accept the children’s statements about gender identity and place these children on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.

                                    Only non-witches get due process.

Plenty of right wing media like Daily Wire podcasts have been all over this. It’s legit interesting watching the mainstream leftist media countenance this topic that any ostensibly decent adult human being knows has a good side, and an evil side, when the evil side happens to reside on the left in this case.

My guess is that the way forward for the cognitively dissonant leftist is to not think or talk about it at all.

                                      Education is extremely important.
