Kill your competition young. The Democrats have been trying to kill DeSantis for quite a while, unsuccessfully. I think Trump will reveal his true nature if he tries and lose support.

Doesn’t explain Trump’s attack. Neither have even announced their candidacy. Seems unwarranted at this stage - unless Trump knows that if DeSantis seeks the nomination he will probably carry the conservative vote in the GOP and defeat Trump. In fact, Trump might not even make it past the primaries to the Convention.
Would be interesting to watch if that were to happen. A Trump tantrum accusing DeSantis of stealing the vote.

The GOP has been, in my estimation, making a huge mistake by focusing the man rather than the popular policies.

The GOP has to make a deal with Mr. Trump.
He quits politics.
They make him into a beloved former president.
Nobody said it would be easy.

“DeSanctimonious” sounds beyond Trump.
Too many syllables.
Won’t last. -

Yep, pretty much it.

I saw that last night.
"DeSanctimonious."
So what did DeSantis say or do to piss him off? Refuse to kiss his fat ass?

I think he still did. LOL.
But, If all the lights are not shining on President Trump, he is like a little kid and gets all whiny and stamps his feet. I think Gov DeSantis is getting a bit of publicity and the lights are not quite as bright on President Trump.

Nah, he won't do that. He can't stand being "yesterday's news".

The chatter is that Trump really crossed the line with that comment, which is probably good.
OTOH, he was campaigning for "Little Hands Marco Rubio" this weekend.

Not true.
Thought Trump did pretty well, by actual measures.

He did, but at a cost to the country. Ditch the man, keep the policies.

It would seem the party may be moving beyond him. I think alienating DeSantis was a big mistake.

I think we've trod this ground so much that only the very stupid or the very trollish would not understand by now
I don't think I've ever accused you of being stupid

Ben Shapiro:
"A few points on "Ron DeSanctimonious":
- Terrible branding.
- Reminding everyone you have no discipline by attacking a top gubernatorial candidate popular with the base two days before an election and a week before launching a comeback campaign is...an interesting strategy."

It is not so much no discipline as an inability to view his every utterance as anything other than ultimate power.
It's a brain thing.
