    You know what's truly sad?

The people there looked like they were having fun. Isn't that against the new wokeness or somerthing?

Is that your big take away? Was that your observation? I watched the first hour and the crowd look very large and enthusiastic.

I'm on my second bottle of wine this weekend. I bet I'm having a lot more fun than those fuckers at either the Trump rally or the protests, and all I'm doing is watching frankly quite hilarious cat videos on YouTube. Much smaller chance of contracting Covid, and furthermore I don't have to listen to Donald Trump or wonder why people keep mis-spelling 'racist'.

I know, I know, I should be reading Schopenhauer or something, but fuck, Mr. Tibbles accidentally falling in the toilet is a lot more inspiring.

          I was only joking

@xenon you made me go onto YouTube and watch some of it, he is totally in his element. It’s actually very entertaining. Almost reminds me of WWE (wrestling) speeches.

Also not a surprise that some black Trump supporters coincidentally got seats directly behind him for the TV angles.

              Some numbers:

              https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewsolender/2020/06/21/turnout-at-trumps-tulsa-rally-was-just-under-6200a-fraction-of-the-venues-19200-capacity/#3b9045361fed

" ... a tally taken by the fire marshal clocked the turnout at just under 6,200 people"

Of course, that's still 6,200 more than Mr. Biden's non-rally.

No, but he’s leading a broad-based political movement, not a cult.

Trump drew much larger crowds than Hillary and still got fewer votes. Bernie drew bigger crowds than Biden (and Hillary) and still came up short on the voting.

Crowds just aren’t a great metric. Or at least not a reliable one.

                      Only non-witches get due process.

The rally was entertaining and a success. I'm sure Trump would have liked a packed house, but times are what they are.

Can anyone even imagine The Dementia Patient pumping up a crowd like that?

No, but he’s leading a broad-based political movement, not a cult.

Trump drew much larger crowds than Hillary and still got fewer votes. Bernie drew bigger crowds than Biden (and Hillary) and still came up short on the voting.

Crowds just aren’t a great metric. Or at least not a reliable one.

People may vote against Trump, but they ain't voting for Biden.

This is true. And the other way too.

Hell, I went to pick up my Peach Truck order this morning, looked at the situation and split. Chaos, no real distancing, few masks, hundreds or thousands of people. This is in one of the zip codes that are on the way up, so I suspect many infections will result.

Bummed out about the peaches (they really are fantastic) but I don't like them THAT much. I sent them and email and they promptly refunded my money, which was actually quite nice of them. I expected they might not.

I will vote, but truthfully I have not decided how yet. Sadly the libertarians aren't running anybody good this year. Trump's lack of leadership lately is concerning to me. He seems to be floundering.

Wait wait wait - this event was a success. I read that here.

And the reporting about Trump being livid came from ABC - it can only be fake.
