What a moral panic looks like. People at the levers of power may be calculated with the levers they pull, but the rank and file indoctrinated masses have to be on board with a true moral panic. People like that are an existential threat to our very democracy, just ask your local leftist. Or similarly, Desantis’ shenanigans with the illegals is indicative of sociopathy permeating the Republican Party. Just ask your local leftist. This is what moral panic looks like.

I've read in a couple of places a civil suit against Houck was already dismissed. I also cannot find where he was ever charged by local law enforcement for anything.
Anybody have any other information?

So...If the civil suit was thrown out, and local law enforcement did not arrest him, why (besides political reasons) would the FBI do an assault on this guy's home?

Different alleged crime?
The civil suit was a tort, not part of any state or federal statute. The assault was alleged and complaint dropped. Local authorities decided that "no reasonable prosecutor" would pursue the case.
The FEDERAL allegation is on the basis of a different law - one that makes it a FEDERAL crime to interfere with access to
abortionmaternal health services. -

In the first place, I wonder if the shoving incident was because of trying to deny a woman access to an abortion or because the escort told Hauck's son his dad was a fag? If that is the FBI's case, that is thin gruel, indeed.
Have the Democrats opened up ppolitical war on Christians?

I commented on that. Certainly, that qualifies as a "Hate Crime," amirite?

Only if a Republican sez that.

I was told (I do not know) that the FBI was established by Executive Order.
If so, maybe they can be reallocated the same way. Let the crime lab become a separate entity. Give domestic terrorism to Homeland Security, anything offshore to the CIA and law enforcement duties go back to the Marshals.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Bureau_of_Investigation
President (Theodore) Roosevelt instructed Attorney General Charles Bonaparte to organize an autonomous investigative service that would report only to the Attorney General.
Bonaparte reached out to other agencies, including the U.S. Secret Service, for personnel, investigators in particular. On May 27, 1908, Congress forbade this use of Treasury employees by the Justice Department, citing fears that the new agency would serve as a secret police department Again at Roosevelt's urging, Bonaparte moved to organize a formal Bureau of Investigation, which would then have its own staff of special agents.
The Bureau of Investigation (BOI) was created on July 26, 1908. Attorney General Bonaparte, using Department of Justice expense funds, hired thirty-four people, including some veterans of the Secret Service, to work for a new investigative agency. Its first "chief" (the title is now "director") was Stanley Finch. Bonaparte notified the Congress of these actions in December 1908.
The bureau's first official task was visiting and making surveys of the houses of prostitution in preparation for enforcing the "White Slave Traffic Act" or Mann Act, passed on June 25, 1910. In 1932, the bureau was renamed the United States Bureau of Investigation.
Creation of FBI
The following year, 1933, the BOI was linked to the Bureau of Prohibition and rechristened the Division of Investigation (DOI); it became an independent service within the Department of Justice in 1935.[18] In the same year, its name was officially changed from the Division of Investigation to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
