Every workout I can get through without an injury is a workout I am thankful I could do. I don’t take any of them for granted in my deteriorating orthopedic state.

@Doctor-Phibes congrats! Sorry to hear about the stress but a successful purchase of your home, including payment, is the only thing to remember, hopefully.
@Horace Nice gym! And even nicer view at night over the pond. That view is worth a substantial value IMO, and you know it won’t change.

Nice home setup.

@Horace @Doctor-Phibes Congrats and best wishes to you both!!! Hope you enjoy your home!!

Nice view Horace. Do you find it distracting when you work out?
Thanks Friday! It’s not distracting. I’m usually watching something in my iPad anyway. If I look up, I fall over. Still developing my treadmill balance. I’ve never used them before, and I got this one especially for its incline, which makes balancing harder.

Before and after of the bedroom...it's still a work in progress. They're chopping down trees today.

@Doctor-Phibes Excellent! I'm surprised you weren't a fan of the Eggplant paint.

The room looks great, Phibes! The wood floor is bright, the ceiling is not the grey color, or was it popcorn? Anyway, a lot of work, but well worth it. Did you touch a paint brush just to see how it works, or did you leave it all to the professionals?
We had somebody come in and paint most of the house white. It took him a good three weeks, but it was worth it, as the muck left behind by 30 years of heavy smoking was horrendous.
We'll do the colours once we've had the chance to settle in a little.
The wood floors were an amazing difference - they all came up so much brighter than what we first had.

Agreed. Most of our home had the original 2005 builder paint color of a muted tan/yellow. Overall not bad, but just too much throughout the house, so we replaced most of it with an off-white, a grey/blue, or gray in a few bedrooms. Only other major project is to replace carpet. Paint and carpet (or hardwood refinishing, in your case) make a YUGE difference.
Our previous owners also had some really heavy drapes that we tore down. Beautiful windows behind it, many with trees outside, so we didn't need the shade the curtains provided.
