Can Trump win? Yes. Like in 2016, he could take advantage of the primary process and skate through using a plurality of votes until he's the last man standing. Then, even before inflation/recession, Biden was too old to run again, Kamala is too cackle-y (and cringey) to win, so the question is... who would Trump run against. If weak enough, or heck...if Kamala... Trump could win.

@Horace good points. Although easy to call it TDS (again, I would've voted for Trump as of January 2020) for folks like me (conservative, etc) I think there is a legit reason why Trump should never be supported again. A President refusing to accept his election loss is unequivocally THE cardinal sin in our democracy, and should be pariah'd accordingly. Yes, that's now a verb.

I hope he runs, and after he wins i hope every single one of the Trump bashers' heads implode.

The righteous rage and indignation at Trump would be overwhelming to the typical leftist American. They'll tear down the country. They'll sacrifice their own children. I get the nihilistic fascination with watching it happen, but I'd prefer to live in some peace, amongst the barely hinged apes, if at all possible.

If he does, let’s start the shooting early, okay?

          My guess is DeSantis.

            Maybe.

            Depends on the primary process.

Agreed. Another Trump presidency is not good for the country.

Expanding on this, the Trump stigma will be relentlessly applied to the next Republican nominee no matter what, moreso if that nominee manages to capitalize on any of the anti-woke sentiment that Trump rode to the white house. This will present a conundrum for Never-Trump conservatives. The mainstream leftist mob won't accept anybody who publicly supports any Republican president going forward. They'll treat you just like they treated Trump supporters. They have a taste for it now. My guess is, there will always be some righteous principled reason for most of these Never-Trump conservatives to never again publicly support a Republican president. Now, who they actually vote for, that'll always be a different question.

Worse because they wish to discard the fundamental principles this nation was built on. They, like the communists in early 20th century Russia and China, think they have a better idea. Only thing is, it doesn't work, because it ignores the natural imperative to compete for primate status.

They haven't succeeded yet. No one can predict whether they will; I believe they won't. If they do manage it, it's a status that won't last long. Its failing won't be pretty, though.

So that still doesn't clarify why that mob which might succeed would be worse than a Trump who does. But it's okay. Even the most well thought out argument for or against has no predictive value. Except that both scenarios suck balls. That we can predict fo' schizzle.

Putting every other fact about Trump aside. If he won, he'd still be President in 2028. He'd be 82.

Putting every other fact about Trump aside. If he won, he'd still be President in 2028. He'd be 82.

And that's the thing that people aren't talking about, but should.

                                  Legitimate point.

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton
