Russia just doesn’t get it:
The Kremlin said it would work to stop the West seizing its international reserves to pay for reparations.

Well crap… Obviously it’s close enough to the border that it can be claimed to be error, and it probably was… But it could also be a poke just to see how NATO responds…

Major wars start over such errors.

Regardless of where the missile was fired from, AWACS staff had one hell of wild day today. Still, if the missile was a Ukrainian air defence rocket that went astray the fault still rests on the Kremlin. That weapon would not have been fired unless the Russians had initiated their own missile attack into that area of western Ukraine.
Either way, Putin owns it

NATO's Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that "Russia bears ultimate responsibility, as it continues its illegal war against Ukraine," while also stating there were no signs the missile incident was intentional.
"An investigation is ongoing, and we need to await its outcome, but we have no indication that this was an assault or a deliberate attack," Stoltenberg said, adding that there is no proof that "Russia is preparing offensive military actions against NATO."

Vladivostok is a tough mob controlled city where bribery of officials is normal and life is cheap. Could very well be that some mobster’s brat was called up and the deceased Colonel wouldn’t play the game unless he received more money. Could be that it some of local hoods were called up and simply didn’t want go. Could be that the deceased just didn’t show enough respect for a mob boss. Could be anything or nothing. He got whacked that’s all.,
Doubt they will find out why he he got whacked and by whom - that they pronounced it a suicide suggests to me that the investigators were covered and paid well in advance.
