OK, I've watched about 10 minutes of this.
It's no different than other SOTUs, but it reminds me of the so-called "pep rallies" that I had to endure in high school.
Lots of rooting for our team, lots of nice, encouraging and rallying words, but...basically empty words.
The only difference seems to be which side of the building stands up and applauds.
Restore the written report, FTW!
I think George captured it correctly. Did anybody really think that anythign important would be said? For every president since I have been paying attention, they are the same. YOu talk about what you think it good, your side cheers, the other side complains about the things you didnt talk about.
When it switches over to the other side, the situation repeats.
