    We've seen these videos before...

But here's what I don't get. For 1950 feet it's a regular ladder, and then, it's the little stubby foot/arm holds. And the little stubby foot/arm holds have just a little button to keep the carabiner from slipping off.

Just watching it is sphincter-tightening (and no, I didn't watch the whole thing).

Had a buddy who did that kind of work when he was young. It pays very well.

For me, they don't make enough money.

What the video didn't show was that he got all the way to the top and then realised he'd brought an imperial wrench, and the fitting was metric, so he had to decide whether to climb back down for the correct tool, or just try and bodge it.

The tedium....step, hook, unhook. Step, hook, unhook. They deserve whatever they make plus what I make.

So many thoughts... what if he forgot to turn off the power before switching the bulb? What if he dropped the replacement bulb by accident? LOL

Also, you'd think he could just have a base jump parachute on at that point. If he falls, then just pull the cord!

BTW... reddit has a nice sub called /sweatypalms if you want to watch these types of videos. I do, but they absolutely give me weak knees.

On a similar subject, if you have not seen it, I recommend the movie "Free Solo" about a guy who climbs El Capitan rock face ("3200 feet of sheer granite") with no safety gear.

What the video didn't show was that he got all the way to the top and then realised he'd brought an imperial wrench, and the fitting was metric, so he had to decide whether to climb back down for the correct tool, or just try and bodge it.

Back in the day, you used to be able to walk outside on the top of the World Trade Center. I saw where he wrote his autograph on the side of the tower after the Walk. This is no longer visible.

Standing there imagining would make a anyone nauseous.

Time to nip this in the bud...

I've met @bachophile a couple of times, and I never found him nauseous, even though he said something made him that way.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Casually, it is probably OK to use both words to mean feeling ill. However, in more formal situations, use each word correctly.

OK, it's after 6, therefore a formal situation, where is my tie?
