Blame the unvaccinated, blame the anti-vaccination loud mouths on air and online.
I'm fucking tired of this "Own it" horseshit. How about we put the scoreboards away and find a way for fewer people die, how about that.

You sir, are right.

One of the ways is to tell the unvaccinated and the anti-vaccination loudmouths that this is one of the consequences of their choices and their actions.
So I say again, blame the unvaccinated, blame the anti-vaccination loud mouths, on air and online.

This was something they said to us at work regarding deciding whether to travel or not - management made the point that it's not just the Covid risk, but if you have a car accident, or fall down stairs or whatever, if you're in a high risk area your treatment could be significantly impacted.
To be honest, I don't need much of an excuse to avoid business travel. Eating all by myself in a fancy restaurant isn't exactly a bundle of fun at the best of times.
-
It’s not all of the unvaccinated people’s fault, just the ones that got sick…

Yup.

I've always enjoyed that.

Back to the point, what happened to the big push for gearing up for COVID? Both in equipment and personnel? There was the agreement between state governors to share resources as needed, making sure active hotspots got the support they needed. Beds, oxygen tanks, ventilators, and even personnel being sent cross country. FEMA prepping overflow sites, certain hospitals designated for COVID and others for non-COVID needs. Hospital ships mobilized and National Guard mobilized and assisting in all ways necessary… What happened to that spirit? Now you have a few states struggling and other states shaking their heads saying “sucks to be them…”

Yeah, I got very used to it. Always eat at the bar and it is usually better than dinner with co-workers.

Red states don't matter.

It’s an interesting question and it deserves a real answer. It’s a lot of people making similar decisions.

That was a real answer. Look at Jon's attitude towards the unvaccinated Trumpists. He's not alone, I've read similar by lots of people.
Couple that disdain with the punishment gene locked in many Dem politicians souls and sprinkle on some lack of leadership, and you suddenly have a dysfunctional apparatus...

Totally. I've never had a problem traveling or exploring a city on my own. I kind of prefer it. I also enjoy playing golf alone, and going to the movies solo over the holidays. I know... weird, but maybe also a side effect of having kids, lolz

One could argue we have found a way. We effectively have the antidote, we just need people to take it so they don't die or fill up hospitals needed by others.

Same here. Nothing to do with being a parent, just a willingness to enjoy my own company.
