I think Renauda summed it up quite nicely. Some sectors of business are unduly affected, like restaurants, but many seem to be humming along pretty nicely.

@mik Yeah, like door-to-door delivery services and cardboard box manufacturers. Possibly recycling operations because the plethora of cardboard boxes.

Central office allocate the monthly payroll based on the turnover from the previous year. So this month, it was completely in the toilet, so they didn't call any staff in, so the poor bastards who are working are completely overwhelmed.

Every Monday morning I am in a manager meeting where we go over activity for the past week and compare to prior year... This week I might have caused a bit of a ruckus by asking why we were comparing this week vs this week last year, and perhaps we should compare with 19? And that for the next three months, comparisons might be pointless.
